The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be introduced today (25th May 2018).

At Elizabeth Hunt & Associates Ltd, we take our responsibility with your data very seriously so, we wanted to notify you of a few updates regarding our preparation for GDPR.

Right to be Forgotten

The GDPR introduces the right for individuals to have their personal data erased.  We have undertaken changes to the way in which we store your data so that when you request that your data is deleted, we can ensure that all data is permanently erased.  If you wish for Elizabeth Hunt & Associates Ltd to delete all your data and associated information, please email us at elizabeth@elizabethhuntassociates.co.uk.  We will ensure that all your information is deleted within 20 days from the receipt of your request.  Please note that once all your information has been deleted, we are unable to recover any data that was previously stored.

Personal Data Request

The GDPR introduces the right for individuals to access any personal data that Elizabeth Hunt & Associates Ltd stores about you.  If you would like to request a copy of any personal information we hold on our files about you, please email elizabeth@elizabethhuntassociates.co.uk with details of your email address and we will forward this information to you within 20 days of receipt of your request.

In line with the introduction of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which is intended to protect customers/consumers against the misuse of personal data across manual and electronic records, we at Elizabeth Hunt & Associates Ltd respect your concerns about privacy.  This Privacy Policy describes the types of consumer personal information we collect, how we use the information, with whom we may share it and the choices available to you regarding our use of the information.  We also describe the measures we take to protect the security of the information and how you can contact us about our privacy practices.

This Privacy Policy applies to the general practices of Elizabeth Hunt & Associates Ltd with respect to its processing of consumer personal information.  The Policy does not apply to website operated by Elizabeth Hunt & Associates Ltd that has separate policies or notices that do reference this Policy.

Information you provide to us

Please note that you are not required to provide any personal information to use the website.  However, if you provide your contact details (name, address, telephone and mobile numbers, and email address), these details will be stored in the Elizabeth Hunt & Associates Ltd database and may be further processed for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

We will ensure any collection of data will be:

  • Processed and used only for specified and lawful purposes and with appropriate consent.
  • Accurate and up-to-date.
  • Held securely for no longer than is absolutely necessary.

Information we obtain by automated means

We do not disclose personal information we obtain about you outside Elizabeth Hunt & Associates Ltd, except as described in this Privacy Policy.  We only process personal data in accordance with your consent and instructions as set out in your agreement with us.  We do not provide, sell or otherwise disclose personal data to any third party, individual or organisation outside Elizabeth Hunt & Associates Ltd unless:

Information collected through third-party plug-ins and widgets on the website (such as information relating to your use of a social media sharing tool) is collected directly by the providers of the plug-ins and widgets.  This information is subject to the privacy policies of the providers of the plug-ins and widgets, and Elizabeth Hunt & Associates Ltd is not responsible for those providers’ information practices.

Your rights and choices

You may change your details at any time, request that we remove your details from our computer database, or instruct us not to use the personal information which you have provided to use for any of the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, by notifying us by email, using the email address provided in the ‘How to contact us’ section of this Privacy Policy.

To the extent provided by the law of your jurisdiction, you may request access to the personal information we maintain about you or request that we correct, amend, delete or block the information by contacting us as indicated in the ‘How to contact us’ section of this Privacy Policy.  Where provided by law, you may withdraw any consent you previously provided to us or object at any time on legitimate grounds to the processing of your personal information, and we will apply your preferences accordingly.  The request may be extended to cover description, correction, deletion or exclusion from future communications.

Data transfers

We may transfer the personal information we collect about you to recipients in countries other than the country in which the information was originally collected.  Those countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information.  When we transfer your information to recipients in other countries:

How we protect and store personal information

We will not retain your personal data for longer than necessary for the purposes for which it is required, however the longest will be 3 months after termination of services.

We take every precaution to protect any and all personal data held by Elizabeth Hunt & Associates Ltd.  We have security measure in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration including encryption, security, internet protocols and data replication.  We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental, unlawful or unauthorised destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use.

Children’s privacy

Our website is not directed to children under the age of thirteen and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen on our website.
